Drive to Dutch Quarter from Philipsburg on the right, from french Quarter on the left, in the middle of the straight stretch of road is a tree with vendors for fish and provisions. There starts Sint Maarten's true and real Hell. Drive up the road that has the name "Garden of Eden Drive" or the one parallel to the right of it and Hell will be there. The filth, the garbage, the car wrecks, the open sewage running in the middle of the road, the holes and rocks under your car. It is all there. How can we make the government clean up this shameful area? The people who live there have no education, they have no mind for healthy and clean surroundings. Mostly Spanish speaking people who do the dirty work for low wages are here packed in shacks and houses that they slowly make of blocks and concrete. There is no sewage system. There are no garbage containers or bins. GEBE sells water and electricity there for sure, but they do not take care of waste water and garbage. Shall we organize trips for tourists to go there and do a contest, who counts the most car wrecks? Who counts the most stray dogs? The winner gets a free patty from the local Chinese super market. This disgusting part of Sint Maarten should be visited and seen to believe that it is real. Go for a shattering experience adventure ride in the area and write to the government how you like Sint Maarten after you seen the truth. Post your reactions here, thanks. Enjoy.
